Role Description:
Reporting to the Finance Leadership Team, the Finance Business Partner (JV) will be instrumental in driving the performance and governance of our joint ventures. Your role will involve delivering financial insights, ensuring compliance, and building strong relationships to achieve mutual success with our partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy & Decision Support:
- Collaborate with JV leadership to deliver financial insights and strategic recommendations, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Analyze JV financial performance, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and propose actions to maximize value.
- Support the creation of new JVs and assess the financial impacts of potential M&A activities.
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting:
- Lead the preparation of JV budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Track and analyze JV performance against budgets, presenting clear and actionable reports to stakeholders.
- Financial Analysis & Risk Management:
- Perform detailed financial analysis, with a focus on P&L performance and cash flow.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities within JV structures, recommending and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
- Build strong relationships with JV partners and internal teams, becoming a trusted financial advisor.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Joint Venture Governance & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with JV agreements and governance frameworks.
- Work with legal and compliance teams to uphold corporate policies and ensure regulatory adherence.
Candidate Specification:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA, CFA, ACA, or MBA preferred).
- Experience:
- 5+ years of finance or accounting experience, with a focus on joint ventures, partnerships, or FP&A.
- Demonstrated success in financial modeling, budgeting, and analysis within JV or partnership structures.
- Solid understanding of JV accounting principles, governance, and risk management practices.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Advanced financial analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex data effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adept at influencing decisions and building strong relationships.
- Proficiency in Excel and exceptional attention to detail.
- Results-driven, with a proactive and critical-thinking mindset.
