The Junior Accountant will assist in managing the financial records and transactions of the company, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and
compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Assist in processing and reconciling invoices and payments. Ensure that all payments are correctly entered into the financial system.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Transaction Recording: Accurately record all financial transactions in the accounting software and ensure proper documentation.
- VAT Compliance: Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT/GST returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to internal control processes.
- Reconciliation of Purchases and Redemptions: Assist in reconciling purchase and redemption transactions, ensuring revenue and costs are accurately reported and aligned with platform data.
- Month End: Assist with the closure of the monthly books.
- Ad-Hoc Duties: Assist the finance team with other accounting- related tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 3-4 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within e-commerce.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Xero preferable but not required. Experience with Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling financial transactions and reports.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
