Background of the role:
We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Head of Legal Operations to build and lead the legal operations function at a rapidly growing technology platform provider at the intersection of entertainment and innovation. This senior position is a unique opportunity to shape how a high-performing legal team delivers impact — streamlining legal services, driving smarter risk management, embedding cutting-edge operational efficiency, and powering the company’s strategic expansion on a global scale. You will work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer to design and execute scalable legal processes that support the company’s dynamic growth.

Your responsibilities:
As Head of Legal Operations, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of legal operations, including:

  • Acting as a trusted partner to senior leadership delivering clear, data-driven insights and operational guidance.
  • Designing and implementing the company’s legal operations strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory frameworks.
  • Leading the implementation of a new Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system, with hands-on deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Managing legal department workflows, systems, budgets, technology solutions, vendor relationships, and reporting processes.
  • Supporting legal and business teams on corporate, regulatory, compliance, and governance initiatives by optimizing processes and driving efficiency.
  • Implementing and managing contract management, matter management, knowledge management, and e-billing systems.
  • Building out a legal operations function within the business, working closely with the legal team to identify knowledge and skills gaps and hire as appropriate.
  • Developing and maintaining template documentation, playbooks, process maps, and SOPs to promote scalable and consistent delivery of legal services.
  • Managing legal spend, budgeting, forecasting, and external counsel engagement strategies to ensure cost-efficiency.
  • Monitoring and reporting on key metrics, KPIs, and service levels to continuously improve legal team performance.
  • Building risk management frameworks, policy implementation programs, and training initiatives to raise legal risk awareness across the business.
  • Staying ahead of industry best practices, technology innovations, and legal operations trends to proactively enhance the function.

Skills you will require:
We are looking for a strong operational leader who brings both business acumen and a deep understanding of legal department operations. Ideally, you will have:

  • At least 5 years' experience in legal operations with a proven track record of driving operational excellence in an in-house legal department.
  • Hands-on experience leading the successful implementation and management of a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system.
  • Expertise in legal tech systems (CLM, matter management, knowledge management, e-billing, etc.).
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with experience building high-performing, service-oriented teams.
  • Exceptional project management, financial management, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to drive transformation and manage ambiguity in a fast-moving environment.
  • A solutions-focused, collaborative mindset with strong analytical and communication skills.
