We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Controller to oversee the accounting operations and financial reporting for our organization.
Reporting directly to the FD, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company's financial reporting, and driving financial strategies in alignment with corporate goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Lead the preparation of the standalone and consolidated financial statements for all group companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial reporting standards.
- Oversee the intercompany reconciliation process and ensure the proper elimination of intercompany balances and transactions on consolidation.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to ensure financial integrity.
- Own the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met and all financial data is accurately reflected.
- Working with external consultants, oversee the preparation and submission of tax filings in all jurisdictions.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Ensure the group adheres to all relevant financial regulations and corporate governance standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and development.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on financial processes, systems, and compliance.
- Advise on financial risk management and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks.
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting systems, processes, and reporting tools to drive efficiency.
- Stay abreast of technological advancements and financial best practices to optimize group financial operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree or professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior Finance/Accounting role in a large group environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software (previous experience of Xero a bonus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
